It’s just been amazing and keeps getting better every day.Ģ. But that’s what makes it so beautiful in its own way because now it’s going back to singing along with all of the new music that’s not even out yet. Now the people know all of the words so now we’re back to where we started. But of course that can only happen on the first night because thanks to YouTube pretty much all of the new material has been exposed by that next day. That’s what I wanted to hear and have people show up knowing of course the words to the old songs that a band would normally include on their set but to have the new material that nobody would ever expect to hear or not have any fucking idea then hit them it just like the whole world has changed. Then maybe after a day or so you’d buy the soundtrack. Like you know if you go to a show that you don’t go in knowing the music or knowing the words and being able to sing along that’s not the point you go to see the show and totally experience it for what it is. I think the most interesting experience has been that I haven’t released the new record yet, because I wanted to treat this more like a Broadway show which is what it’s slowly becoming. Like right now we’re pulling up to the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles and we’re just about ready to let it all go and everybody’s just been incredible. It’s just been really amazing and we’ve been debuting new stuff from acts, to songs and even material. She says that her world The Asylum has taken its course for the better with its assortment of “ALL NEW” attractions from an upcoming musical to her all new full-length “Fight Like A Girl” set to be released very soon and her own personal fight with her own mentality that engulfed her inner being of being human.Įmilie: The touring is amazing it’s so much crazier and epic than I thought. And I've made models pose with weapons before, so I figured I could bump it up more, so I got out some tea service as well.Best known by Emilie Autumn - Emilie Autumn Liddel is a California local and tonight she is back home setting her domain at the infamous El Rey Theater but before her pit stop she decided to have a spot of tea with me to discuss all that she's been up to since her 2006 full-length "Opheliac". It's time for TEA!!!!!" And there was a segment where Emilie Autumn's dancers were throwing teacakes at the audience and drinking tea. Thus, the concert bled over into the shoot.īut one of the lyrics was "It's time for war. And I felt basically no sympathy for whoever the guy was. And the model mentioned a story that I don't feel is not my story to tell, but it involved a guy. So, I'm feeling raw and, in lieu of watching the Super Bowl, I had a model over. So it makes the parts of her story that I have not experienced a bit more poignant and conscious. And it's very personal and beautiful and written from her perspective, yet it's so passionately done that when she sings it's like it's happening to me.Īnd, frankly, some little bits of her story have happened to her has happened to me as well. This favorite musician is Emilie Autumn and this is the tour to promote her upcoming album "Fight Like A Girl." And her lyrics fixate on themes like how we've changed the way we treat women has only marginally improved since the Victorian era, especially if they happen to be a bit troubled. But in a "Oh my god, I can't get that woman's vocals out of my head," making me feel randomly like I'm going to get weepy in inopportune moments sort of way. Sometimes all I can manage is something sexy.Īnyway, I went to see one of my current favorite musicians live this last week and it left me a bit raw. This is why I've had models pose with weapons. Because, most of all, I like it when I make a woman in lingerie look like she's also capable of plucking your eyeballs out if she needs to. I use the response from wife or my female friends as a guide to how successful I am at portraying women. I mention this from time to time, but I have an interesting view of femininity, despite my known predilections towards photographing women in lingerie or less. And music is a great bet because the image it builds in your head is going to be personal and individual and unique. So if you look at how I use lights, you'll see large amounts of Broadway musicals and rock concerts, ballet shows. Because, honestly, to go on about how original you are and how nobody else is like you is quite pretentious. But it's quite daft to try and insist that you are fully original. I try to avoid strictly duplicating any one particular artist or influence. Inspiration hitting, Emilie Autumn, and Time for Tea
